Portfolio Import Guide

Import Your Trading 212 Portfolio

Export your Trading 212 Invest account holdings as CSV, then import them into Zeenox for instant Shariah compliance screening — in under 5 minutes.

Already have your Trading 212 CSV? Skip straight to import.

Import Portfolio Now
Important — Invest account only: Trading 212 has two separate accounts. The Invest account holds real stocks (Shariah-acceptable). The CFD account uses leverage and derivatives — these are not permissible. Only export and import holdings from your Invest account.

Part 1 — Export from Trading 212

1

Log in to Trading 212 (web)

Go to trading212.com and log in. Make sure you are in the "Invest" tab — NOT the CFD tab. The Invest account holds real stocks, which is Shariah-acceptable.

2

Open History

In the left sidebar, click the clock / history icon. This shows all your past transactions.

3

Click "Export" → "Transactions"

In the top-right of the History panel, click the Export button. Select "Transactions" from the dropdown, then choose your date range (select from your account open date to today to capture everything).

4

Download the CSV

Click "Download" — the file is saved immediately to your browser's download folder. The filename is usually something like "Trading212_Transactions_Export.csv".

Tip: The transaction history export includes all buys and sells. Zeenox calculates your current holdings by netting buys against sells — or you can paste just your current holdings manually if you prefer.

Which CSV columns does Zeenox use?

ColumnUsed for
TickerStock ticker symbol — e.g. AAPL, SHEL.L
SharesNumber of shares currently held
Price / ShareOptional — used for purification calculation
ISINUsed as fallback identifier if ticker is missing

Part 2 — Import into Zeenox

1

Go to your Zeenox portfolio

Log in and open (or create) a portfolio from the Dashboard.

2

Click "Import Holdings" → CSV upload

Select "CSV upload" and drag in your Trading 212 export file. Zeenox automatically detects the Ticker and Shares columns.

3

Review the compliance preview

Every holding is screened against AAOIFI Standard No. 21 before you confirm. Green = halal, Red = non-compliant, Amber = borderline.

4

Confirm and save

Click "Add Holdings". Your portfolio immediately shows live compliance scores, purification amounts, and Zakat estimates.

Trading 212's Invest account lets you buy real UK and US stocks commission-free inside an ISA. Real stock ownership with no leverage — Shariah-acceptable when combined with halal stock selection.

Halal condition: Open the Invest account only. Do not enable the CFD account — CFDs involve leverage and are not Shariah-compliant.
